The third photo is the picture I used as a reference for my drawing. She took me about two class periods. Overall, I think she turned out pretty well. The only thing I don't think looks as good as it could is her eyes and eyebrows. If I were to continue working on her I would put more contrast in her hair, fix her eyebrows and darken the shading on the entire picture, especially her tattoos.

I drew this woman in graphite without any reference. She took me about an hour. Overall, I think I captured her facial features pretty well. If I were to continue with her, I would probably add more high lights to her hair and possibly darken the shading on the right side of her face. Aside from that though, I think she turned out pretty well.

I really enjoy drawing eyes and I have been working on them in different kinds of mediums, but this is in pencil. It took me about 20 minutes to complete. I think I could work on the shading and the eyelashes more, but I really like the glare on the eyeball.

I drew this woman in graphite and I used some lady in a tv show as a reference. I like how her hair looks messy, which is what I was aiming for, but I don't like how messy the shading looks. I think the precise eyebrow gives her a very serious look, that's what I was going for.
Originally I was going to make this woman blonde with hardly any makeup on but once I messed up her eyes, I decided the dark eyeliner looked good and the shading on her lips makes them look very realistic. I probably could've made the hat a little more detailed but overall, I think she was successful.
I drew this woman in about 45 minutes in graphite. I think her hair turned out very well, as well as her eyes. I think I could've made her lips a little darker and the shading softer, but I really like how odd her face is shaped and the look in her eyes.
I tried to draw this African American woman at a slight angle in graphite. I probably could have proportioned her face a little better as well as smoothed the shading on her face but overall I really like her ear and the shading on her lips.
I drew this female off of the top of my head in graphite, she took me about 45 minutes to complete. If I were to go back and maybe fix her up a little I would make the high lights and low lights in her hair more noticeable as well as darken the shading on her face. I like how her eyelashes stand out though.

"Holly"day

I drew two holly leaves with berries for the Holiday boutique in first pencil to get the outline, then colored pencils. I went over the piece a few times, darkening the values a little more each time. Overall, I think the cartoon-like goal I was going for turned out pretty well and I think the yellow background makes the red berries really stand out, which I like.

Skepticism

I drew this woman in graphite in about 2 hours or so. Personally, I don't think she turned out that bad considering I drew her off of the top of my head with no reference in mind. I think that her hair turned out pretty well, although a few more highlights and lowlights could have been added. I also think the shading on her face is well positioned, it just needs to be a bit more defined. I think I nailed the "sceptical look" though, so overall, I consider this piece a success.

Colored pencil portrait

This is the first drawing I've done with colored pencils and I think she turned out pretty decent for the first attempt. I like how detailed her eyes are and the shape of her lips, but I think the shading on her chest is off and the shading on her face could've been darker. I will continue to try colored pencil for one of my breath pieces.

I found my reference on the internet and thought she had an interesting look so I chose to draw her. I drew this woman in graphite and she took me about two hours, starting with her hair first and thn working down to her shoulders.

The picture above is my reference photo of my younger sister. I drew this in a few hours with graphite on a mat board. I think it turned out pretty well, although my values could be a little darker, I'm happy with the piece.
