I got my inspiration for this piece from a picture I saw on Pinterest. It was colored green and had birds instead of clouds in the sky. I also added the dripping colors to fill the space that the original picture had. 

I started this project by drawing the trunk and branches in pencil then colored them in with ink. After I finished that, I sketched the basic shape of the leaves, then painted it in starting with the blue on the right. To avoid leaving so much white space, I added the black clouds so it didn't take away from the tree as the main focus. 

The tree represents a calming effect nature has. Using cool colors makes the piece more inviting and in my opinion, prettier to look at. The clouds show that there's so many objects in nature that are beautiful.

Overall, I think the project turned out very well. I really like the texture the tree looks like it has. I think the colors look very nice together as well.
