Drawing from a photo

I drew this lonesome barren tree on sharpie as well as the empty bench underneath the tree. This picture was taken in New York near my grandparents house and I decided to use it for the photography piece assigned in drawing because I liked the simplicity of the scene. It was a gloomy day so the picture was naturally in black and white so I decided it would look okay with just sharpie. I don't particularly like how the bench turned out, but I guess the crookedness could represent how old and lonely the place is since no one has resumed a seat on the bench in a while.
